Malala Yousafzai – Time’s Person of the Year.

Well, not yet.  Go to Time’s website and vote for her.  In case you don’t remember she’s the young girl shot in the head by the Taliban, whose religion professes that the idea of women educating themselves is an “obscenity” … so they decided to kill her.  I’m not even exaggerating.  So, what better way to celebrate her bravery and defiance in the face of those who would keep that part of the world in the 1st century than some worldwide recognition and praise for who she is and what she represents.  I sure as hell wouldn’t have had her the strength of will.

Striking fear into the hearts of the Taliban.
